Funding Priorities
  • Community Betterment – We fund organizations and programs that embody the Rotary message of “Service Above Self” and promote local community service, unity and cooperation, economic development and physical/aesthetic improvements
  • Education – We fund organizations and programs that educate individuals or groups, especially educational efforts that focus on training future community leaders
  • Disaster Relief – We fund organizations and programs that provide disaster relief locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Helping the Disadvantaged – We fund organizations and programs that support and assist disadvantaged community members.
 
Funding Restrictions
 
We will not provide funding for:
  • Individuals (individuals seeking funding for education or education-related travel should apply through our Scholarship Program).
  • Organizations that are not government entities, schools or tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3)
  • Organizations that are not locally based, except for organizations that provide national or international disaster relief
  • Travel and related expenses
  • Fundraising or sports-related events
  • Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, veteran or disability status in the delivery of their services and in their employment practices
Expectations: A representative of a grant recipient will be expected to make a presentation on their program or project to the Deerfield Valley Rotary Club at one of the Club’s regular club meetings.

Applications are reviewed and funds awarded on a quarterly basis. 
 
Application deadlines are: (1) August 31, (2) November 30, (3) February 28 and (4) May 31.
 
Any application not received by a quarterly deadline will automatically be included in the next awards cycle.
